Salt Studies

A series of twelve still lifes for Hollow Press's spring issue, shot over four days with a single north-facing window and a handful of objects borrowed from the editor's kitchen.

We kept the palette to salt, clay and shadow, and let each frame breathe. The series ran across eighteen pages and the cover.

I photograph things the way light finds them — slowly, and from the side.

About

06

Hello, I'm Ines.

I'm a photographer and art director working mostly with publishers, hotels and small design studios. My work leans on natural light, honest materials and a lot of patience.

Before photography I studied architecture, which is probably why I care so much about where the shadows fall. I work alone or with a small, trusted crew, and I like to be involved from the first mood board.
